 International
Children's Digital Library - This website, created and
maintained by the University of Maryland, has books from all over the
world with most books available to be read in multiple languages.
If you register (which is free), you can save your favorite books.
I like their search capabilities, where you can look for books by age,
world region, topic and by color of the cover! This site is
excellent for all age children and is great for reading books that
you can't find anywhere else.
Tumblebooks - Another fabulous site for online books, however
this one is more geared toward younger children and the books are read
with the words either underlined or colored as the words are spoken.
There are books in several languages as well as games and puzzles.
Check out this site for popular books and characters we all know.
