        Day Camps

Day camps are limited to only 6 students per instructor! 

Our day camps give children ages 3-10 a special day designed just for them.  Our camps are designed using a Unit Study approach to each theme.  We have many different age-appropriate stations that your child can explore the topic of the day, including but not limited to:  reading, writing, math, science, logic, history and geography.  We also have fun with Spanish and American Sign Language as well!

Camp Offerings

The camps are held at our Jim Thorpe location on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and our Palmerton location on  Sundays.  However, we do offer other days if you have a group of at least 3 children. 

We understand that you and your family have an active schedule, so we offer flexibility in our camp times.  Our camps start at 8:30 a.m. and go throughout the day so you can register at any time.  However, you must arrive within 30 minutes of your registered time to ensure your child's spot. 

*Reading Escapades reserves the right to cancel any camps due to low enrollment.

Details

To better fit your schedule and your child's desires, Reading Escapades offers 2 types of camps.

3 hour camp - $30

With this time frame, your child will be able to experience a wide variety of learning while having fun in the theme.  A light snack and drinks are provided.

6 hour camp - $50

With this time frame, your child will be fully immersed in the topic of the day.  Two snacks and drinks are provided, however the child must be provided with a meal.  Parents/Guardians may bring a meal for the child or they may pre-purchase a bagged meal for $4.00 ($3.77 plus $0.23 tax).  This bagged meal includes your choice of sandwich, granola bar, bag of chips and a drink. 

Special Camp Times

Are you going rafting, hiking doing other activities in Jim Thorpe but cannot take your younger children?  Contact us for special pricing!  Two snacks and drinks are provided, however the child must be provided with a meal.  Parents/Guardians may bring a meal for the child or they may pre-purchase a bagged meal for $4.00 ($3.77 plus $0.23 tax).  This bagged meal includes your choice of sandwich, granola bar, bag of chips and a drink.

There is a 10% discount for children who participate in more then one camp per year.  Children who are enrolled in our weekly classes, receive a 10% discount for every camp.

Have more fun by bringing a friend to camp - and save too! Both your child and your friend's child will receive a 10% discount on the camp when they attend together for the first time.** 

**A friend qualifies as children not living in the same household.
